Sweet Deco Room @ Otakon 2026

SEAT RESERVATIONS FOR THE WORKSHOPS WITH SUE WILL OPEN ON JUNE 8 @ 6 PM PDT / 9 PM EDT

Workshop schedule will be as follows:

FRIDAY 4 PM & 6 PM

SATURDAY 4 PM & 6 PM

We return to Otakon with our own dedicated room once again!

The room is the same as before: the CAPITOL/CONGRESS ROOM is on the M4 Level of the Marriott Marquis. (map and additional information will be posted here and on our socials)

The hours that this room will be open will be identical to the dealer room and is as follows:

Friday – July 31 – 12 PM to 8 PM
Saturday – August 1 – 10 AM to 7 PM
Sunday – August 2 – 10 AM to 3 PM

The room will be set up for attendees to comfortably sit and create their cute sweet creations on their choice of items. Instruction will be available for beginners while more advanced creators are welcome to dive in once they’ve selected their cabochons and item of choice.

If you would like to bring something to decorate (e.g. a cell phone case), please contact us to confirm that the piece will work well with the cream, glue, and cabochons.

NOTE: Those under the age of 13 will require a chaperone/guardian to be in attendance with them in the deco room. If you have any questions or concerns about this updated policy, please email us at shop@bbandb.net

Note: an account with our shopping site is required to participate in one or more of the workshops with Sue. Please fill out the form below to create a temporary account to sign up for a workshop session with Sue.

Please note the following:

  • Workshops by Sue will have a nominal $5.00 administrative fee ($10.00 at the door if space is available) to reserve your seat(s). No other fee will be required.
    • These workshops are meant as a fun and easy introduction to sweet deco creations and the object you will be decorating will be pre-determined by Sue. Please email us for more information: shop@bbandb.net
  • Non-workshop/ Free Open Times – The hours that this room will be open will be identical to the dealer room and is as follows:
    • Friday – July 31 – 12 PM to 8 PM
    • Saturday – August 1 – 10 AM to 7 PM
    • Sunday – August 2 – 10 AM to 3 PM
  • Non-workshop Costs – On average, the costs to create your own sweet deco designs will have material fees ranging from $25-$35 with the upper range applying to larger or extensive deco pieces. Obviously, the more cabochons that are added to any given design will raise the cost of creating said design, but there is only so much room on any given piece. Vice versa, the less cabochons will lower the cost of the design.
  • The room will also have a Sweet Deco “Buffet” that will be available to any and all who wish to shop for cabochons, cream, and supplies. You do not need to design and/or create your sweets in our Sweet Deco room. You can simply buy the materials you’d like and create your own sweet creation at a later time.
  • NOTE: We are unable to accept cash in the room. Credit/Debit/etc cards will be the only method of payment accepted in the room. Thank you for your understanding.

Once again, a seat reservation is NOT required to stop by the room at your convenience to shop or to create your own sweets. This is only if you’d like to participate in a workshop by Sue or if you have a specific date and time you’d like to reserve.

Sue will have her service/hearing/signal dog with her in the room while hosting the workshops and during open hours. Please email us if you have any issues or concerns (shop@bbandb.net) regarding this.
